Darren Steele
Chairperson

Licensed Land Agent RLA 156281 GAICD, MREI Darren is the Managing Director of Steele & Associates Hotel Brokers, South Australia’s oldest family owned and operated Hotel Broking firm. The business specialises in the sale of hotels and licensed premises and provides consultancy services on all aspects of the hotel and hospitality industry. His experience in business administration, sales and consultancy has provided him with concise analytical skills crossing over legal, accounting, marketing and general business disciplines. Darren is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Real Estate Institute of SA and Family Business Australia. He currently serves as a member of REISA’s Business Consultative Committee. Previous Board appointments include Director of the Sturt Football Club Inc. and the Unley Community Sports Club Inc. where he concurrently served as Chairman of the Venue Management sub-committee. Darren maintains an extensive network to many of Adelaide’s leading business people and sporting identities.
Colleen Bennett

Colleen has held various administrative and voluntary positions with organisations that assist people with an intellectual disability over the last 26 years including the Administration Officer for SRAIDP/SASRAPID 1987 – 1996; Administration Officer assisting the Chef de Mission and Team Manager with the Australian Paralympic Team which competed in Madrid in 1992; The first (part-time) Administration Officer appointed to AUSRAPID assisting the President and Executive Officer; Volunteer Joint Co-ordinator of the North East ’94 Club, established by Inclusive Sport SA to provide weekend social options for people with an intellectual disability in the north-eastern area; Tenancy Support, which later became STAR (Skill Teaching and Resources) from 1997-2003; and from 2004-2013 working for ISAS, Individual Supported Accommodation Service, who provide in-home support for adults with an intellectual disability to live independently in the community.
David Calvert

David was born in Canada, and has lived in the United States and England before coming to Australia. His career spans 10 years in manufacturing, 18 years in government and finally 18 years in community services. David has served on a number of boards, most recently Western Community Lawyers, and Archway Rehabilitation Services. He also has qualifications in commerce and IT, and holds an MBA from the University of Adelaide. Currently employed as the Administrative Services Manager for the Individual Supported Accommodation Service (ISAS) an NGO providing in-home supports to adults with intellectual disabilities.

Lisa Cook Kleeman

Lisa is the founder and CEO of Get on Board Australia, an organisation that delivers an ongoing professional development program for new and aspiring company directors. Lisa has extensive experience in the professional services industry and holds a degree in Business Management and Marketing from Charles Sturt University. Born and raised in Sydney, New South Wales, Lisa relocated to Adelaide in July 2011. Less than a year after moving to Adelaide, Lisa was named as one of Adelaide’s 100 Emerging Business Leaders and Thinkers. In addition to the Inclusive Sport SA board, Lisa is Deputy Chair at Bendigo Bank (West Beach & Districts Community Branch) and is a non-executive director of Shooting Australia, the Neil Sachse Foundation, and is on the advisory board of The Australian College of Professionals. Lisa chairs the Governance Committee at Inclusive Sport SA and Bendigo Bank (West Beach & Districts Community Branch). Previously Lisa sat on the boards of Fulham United Soccer Club and Central Coast Triathlon Club, and the South Australian ADMA 30 Below state committee. Lisa is a mentor for The Smith Family iTrack program and Flinders University Connect@Flinders program.
Dr Kerrie Lante

Lecturer in Interprofessional Communication for Health Human and Disability Service Professionals Disability and Community Inclusion Unit Kerrie Lante is a disability professional who has extensive experience in working with people with intellectual disability, their families and caregivers. She particularly enjoys creating an awareness, promoting an understanding and linking students across different disciplines so to foster their understanding of the role of disability and allied health professionals and how they can work alongside each other for the benefit of their client. In her role as an academic and researcher, Kerrie’s industry experience has given her the opportunity to impart valuable knowledge and experience to emerging professionals in the health sciences areas. Kerrie was a Research Associate at Sydney University, working on a NHMRC Partnership Project: Embedding sustainable physical activities into the everyday lives of adults with intellectual disabilities, before joining Flinders in 2014. Her research interests lie in promoting health and well being, particularly through physical activity and Active Support, enhancing quality of life, community engagement and staff work engagement. Other interests include Inclusive sporting/recreational facilities, interprofessional education and work engagement of disability professionals. Kerrie was involved in the Creating a Sporting Chance program at RMIT, Melbourne; a community, evidence based, sustainable, low cost physical activity program for people with intellectual disability. She has also worked across government and non-government organizations, promoting physical activity in community based settings for adults with intellectual disability. Kerrie has presented at various national and international conferences on intellectual disability.
