19 Jul COVID-19 Update – 19 July 2021
The South Australian Government has today reintroduced COVID-19 restrictions in the state with all gyms and indoor fitness centres to close from Tuesday 20 July until Friday 23 July 2021.
We are committed to the safety of our community and following the advice of the State Government, and closure of multiple pool facilities all Rapidswim Aquatic Therapy sessions and Learn to Swim programs are suspended from Tuesday 20 July to Friday 23 July at the following venues: ARC Campbelltown, CHG Mile End, Minda Aquatic Centre, Noarlunga Leisure Centre and Thebarton Aquatic Centre.
We are fully aware of the benefits that our Rapidswim service has to our clients and their families; and understand the concerns and challenges that the suspension of programs will have for both our participants and staff.
Inclusive Sport SA will continue to monitor all SA Health advice as released and will communicate with participants and families about the potential recommencement of the Rapidswim Aquatic Therapy and Learn to Swim programs following the SA Government’s review of restrictions on Friday 23 July 2021.
More information will be provided to our participants, families and caregivers as it becomes available.
Following the directive of the SA Government to suspend Rapidswim programs from Tuesday 20 July, Inclusive Sport SA would like to assure our families and care givers that there will be no charge for any Program during the anticipated shutdown period (July 20-23), while restrictions are enforced.

BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT SA
Behaviour Support SA (BSSA) will continue to offer services at this time to our current clients, in line with South Australian Government COVID-19 directives and restrictions. We will remain vigilant in monitoring the situation and stress the importance of following infection control protocol developments in South Australia.
The health and wellbeing of our participants and staff are our upmost priority during this time. All practitioners in the first instance will wear masks when attending sessions with participants unless this directly impacts the provision of care for the client. Communication will be sent directly to all BSSA participants and their caregivers regarding mask wearing at sessions.
Our staff are already incredibly diligent with personal hygiene when providing services in homes, schools and the community. Practitioners wash and sanitise hands before and after all sessions – this will continue for all ongoing sessions and we encourage families and participants to do the same.
With this in mind, if our staff are unwell in any capacity we will cancel or reschedule sessions and notify you immediately. It is also important that families and caregivers provide ample notice of session cancellation if there are any symptoms of illness from the individual, their family or anyone who has been in close proximity of the individual accessing services. This notification will protect our staff and reduce the risk of transmitting the virus to other participants in sessions occurring after yours.
Please note that our offices currently remain open. We have also offered working from home and remote office solutions for our office staff should they choose to. All of our staff have access to the office telephone lines and main server via their mobile phones and computers.
Once again, I express the importance that we continue to take care for ourselves and one another during this time and in coming together as a supportive community.
