Inclusive Sport SA are pleased to introduce On the Move – Online supported sport skills and activity sessions.

Following current health guidelines, we would like to support you to be active during these times where your regular sporting and social/recreation options are no longer available.

What is On the Move?

Offered as 1:1 to participants On the Move online sessions include tailor made sport, social and recreation activities delivered by skilled and qualified coaching staff with experience in playing and coaching sport teams, working with children and working with people with integration difficulties and disabilities.

Now more than ever we need to encourage regular activity to take care of our physical health and mental well being.

Our online On the Move sessions aim to provide valuable support in reducing the effects of isolation, improving social skills and raising self-esteem to participants. The goal of our service is to provide support to enable a participant to engage in community, social and/or recreational activities.

On The Move and NDIS Funding

Session Fees can be claimed through your NDIS funding:

CORE support: Assistance with social and community participation

On The Move Cost

Hourly Rates are as follows:

  • Weekday – $54.30
  • Saturday – $76.18
  • Sunday – $98.06

Sport Skills and Activities Available

On the Move is fully flexible to suit the wants, needs, and abilities of our participants. A list of the sporting and recreation activities and skills include (but not limited to):

  • Athletics
  • Australian Rules Football
  • Basketball
  • Boxing
  • Children’s Activities and Games
  • Cricket
  • Dance
  • Fine & Gross Motor Activities
  • Gym & Fitness Exercise
  • Netball
  • Rugby
  • Running
  • Soccer
  • Tennis
  • Yoga

Sessions are conducted online using the video communication tool Zoom with your instructor engaged with you throughout the entire session.

Who Delivers On The Move Sessions?

BEN STEER – On The Move Coordinator

Ben is a lifelong sport enthusiast who has held the role of player and coach across codes including; Football (AFL & Touch), Basketball, Netball, Cricket, Athletics, Soccer and Tennis. He is also the proud founder of the Somerton Slugs Running Club and when not managing the Inclusive Sport SA Rapidswim programs, can be found completing marathons and taking part in his weekly social sport teams.  

A qualified engineer, Ben made a career change working as an Educational Support Officer at Our Lady of La Vang School, a Specialist Education School for Students with an Intellectual Disability, prior to joining the Inclusive Sport SA team. 

He has a passion for sport as a vehicle for inclusion and the positive impact of physical fitness, social interaction and mental health this has on a person’s wellbeing.Ben brings his likeable, fun personality to his sessions with an optimistic and encouraging attitude that focuses on making sure that participants have a great experience supporting the development of their own love of sport.
